Consultations
A 90 minute consultation with the Lavender Practice will focus on identifying the root cause of your symptoms rather then simply addressing the symptoms themselves. Using a comprehensive approach that includes an objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) a simple physical check-up, which might include listening to your heart, checking your blood pressure, feeling for any tenderness, to better assess your condition. From there, I will create a personalised herbal treatment plan along with dietary and lifestyle advice, to alleviate presenting symptoms, help improve your gut health and overall vitality, supporting you towards healthier more balanced life.

Follow Up Appointments
A follow up appointment is recommended in order to monitor and support your herbal treatment, review progress, answer any questions that you may have and adjust your prescription if necessary.
Consultation & Follow Up Package
A follow-up appointment, scheduled 4 weeks after your first course of treatment, is crucial to assess improvements, observations, and progress. This allows us to evaluate how your body has responded and make any necessary adjustments to your treatment plan. During this appointment, we can provide further diet and lifestyle advice and, if needed, modify your herbal remedies to ensure continued progress toward optimal health. Please note that calls, texts, or messages with questions (except in cases of emergency) are not encouraged. These should be saved and addressed during the follow-up session, where we can discuss everything in detail.
Personalised Health Plan
As extra resource alongside your consultation or follow up, I offer a tailored health plan to help you to make informed choices and understand how everyday foods can be used as medicine.

Aromatherapy & Essential Oil Therapy: How Essential Oils Support Gut Health
Abdominal massage with medicinal essential oils is a powerful therapeutic tool for supporting digestive health, gut repair, and inflammation reduction. As a medical herbalist and clinical aromatherapist, I formulate bespoke essential oil blends that go beyond everyday oils, utilising potent plant compounds with profound therapeutic effects. These oils can be absorbed through the skin, where they target inflammation, enhance circulation, and promote gut microbiome restoration.
For individuals with Crohn’s disease, intestinal polyps, and leaky gut syndrome, abdominal massage with medicinal essential oils offers a natural way to reduce gut inflammation, support tissue healing, and relieve cramping, bloating, and discomfort.
The stress-gut connection is undeniable, and abdominal massage with the right essential oils can have a profound impact on the nervous system. Spikenard (Nardostachys jatamansi) and Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) are deeply grounding and can regulate the vagus nerve, reducing stress-related gut issues such as IBS, nervous indigestion, and gut motility disorders. These oils promote a shift into parasympathetic (rest and digest) mode, essential for gut healing.
As a qualified herbalist, I can prescribe and formulate medicinal-grade essential oils not only for topical use but also for internal benefits, ensuring safety and efficacy in supporting gut repair, microbiome balance, and overall digestive function. This integrative approach harnesses the power of plant chemistry to restore gut integrity, reduce inflammation, and support long-term gut health in a way that is both effective and naturally aligned with the body's healing processes.
